Author: Ravinder Singh
Publisher: Penguin
ISBN: 978-0-143-41723-1
Year: 2011
Rating: ☆☆☆☆1/2

When Ravin first said ‘I love you . . .’ he meant it forever. The world has known this through Ravin’s bestselling novel, I Too Had a Love Story. But did Ravin’s story really end on the last page of that book?

On Valentine’s Day, a radio station in Chandigarh hosts a very special romantic chat show. Ravin and his three best friends are invited as guests to talk about Ravin’s love story. But surprisingly everyone apart from Ravin turns up. As the show goes live, there is only one question in every listener’s mind: what has happened to Ravin?

To answer this question the three friends begin reading from a handwritten copy of Ravin’s incomplete second book—the entire city listens breathlessly, unable to believe the revelations that follow.
This highly anticipated novel by Ravinder Singh is an emotional rollercoaster that bravely explores the highs and lows of love.

Review: When I first started reading this book, I was getting bored in the conversations of three friends with a scene which have been created in the story to give it a dramatic look but curiosity was to know the story Khushi (Character in the Book "I Too Had A Love Story) as it is sequel of that book. But I started getting involved in the story once the main story was started. Sometimes, plot of the scene have been elaborated in lengthy manner unnecessarily. The charm of the story comes when Ravin comes to know the mind set of Simar (another main character of book). The expectation, desire of a girl that almost every person faces in their life. Overall Book was worth reading for me as somehow it relates to the experience in life. one of the best remembering quote of the book which could not stop me writing here is "Wealth, Woman and Wine can make anything happen in this World".

Do love stories ever die?
... How would you react when a beautiful person comes into your life, and then goes away from you... forever?

Not all love stories are meant to have a perfect ending. I Too Had a Love Story is one such saga. It is the tender and heartfelt tale of Ravin and Khushi- two people who found each other on a matrimonial site and fell in love until life put their love to the ultimate test.

Romantic, emotional and sincere, this heartbreaking true life story has already touched a million hearts, This bestselling novel is a must read for anyone who believes in the magic of love...

Review: The story is simple but different love story which if we see, we would definitely say "he/she has gone mad" and that's the beauty of love. As its a true story of writer himself, he tries to tell you each and every incident that occurs which might not be relevant for a fiction story. But yaah, it will make you feel the essence of love in true sense which usually happens with almost guy. you can't wait to relate yourself or your condition with  the story at least once or may be every time. Unlike the most of Bollywood films, the ending is not well. The last part shows the true emotions (In love stories, as its mix emotion, if don't get to cry or feel to cry, it's not a perfect/remarkable love story) which definitely make you cry and make you think about your life, future, and the most important the universal truth ( Death comes to all). I can't wait to mention a SMS which Khushi sends to Ravin "Someday u might b sad, wen might wish 2 tlk me bt i might not b able 2 do so", really can touch everyone's heart at that moment.

Review: 2 States by Chetan Bhagat

Author: Chetan Bhagat
Publisher: Rupa Publication
ISBN: 978-81-291-1530-0
Year: 2009
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Love marriages around the world are simple:
Boy loves girl. Girl loves boy. They get married.
In India, there are a few more steps:
Boy loves girl. Girl loves boy.
Girl's family has to love boy. Boy's family has to love girl.
Girl's family has to love boy's family. Boy's family has to love girl's family.
Girl and boy still love each other. They get married.

Welcome to 2 States, the story of Krish and Ananya who are from two different states of India, deeply in love with each other and want to get married. Of course, their parents don't agree. To convert their love story into a love marriage, the couple has a tough battle ahead of them; for it is easy to fight and rebel, but much harder to convince. Will they make it?

From bestselling author Chetan Bhagat comes another witty tale about inter-community marriages in modern India.

Review: The title has been kept in smarter way to connect the social issues. The story is quite appreciating in the sense that most of the love stories face same problem, so called community, religion, and class. This story is also about the love story between two different culture of lovers. And instead of elope they decide to convince their elders- the most difficult job to do. As the story narrator being North Indian, it may keep you sometime bored during Chennai session and also making fun of them but keep you binding afterwards. The story has beautifully explained the behavior of our in laws to step into one another concern without being asked to do so. The essence of love being expressed in the story is more on boldness along with feelings which make it a plot for perfect hindi romance movie.

Review: The tagline of the book "The story of love n separation, where destiny dictates the relation" is perfectly inline with the story. The book will keep you binding with it until you know the whole story. Anyone who believe in love or has ever fallen in love can easily relate with the story at each moments described in the story. Sometime the book let you even cry as you will be bound to imagine the essence of love. The book has been narrated in very easy language which make it less literary work but so beautifully described to fall in love with the feelings expressed in the book. The author has been so justified with the plot and character to enable you imagine the story just like a movie played before you containing all the taste of love- happiness of being with, pain of separation.
As a poetry lover & writer, I loved the hindi poetry, shayri & nazm used in between the story.
One more thing can't be left saying about the book that feeling of first love which made me write on the book itself- "very true". The line was as follows:-
"We can never forget our first love throughout our life... We can just ignore the feeling or remove it from our heart and memory, but in reality it never dies and always remains alive somewhere deep inside our hearts. this feeling surfaces again as soon as our love cones in front of our eyes... We again start remembering our lovely moments of being in love and want to get it back in our lives!"
